The cFP-CB-1 (Part number: 778618-01) is an integrated connector module for connecting compact FieldPoint I/O. If it is mounted on a backplane, the cFP-CB-1 provides an advantageous method for connecting sensors and actuators. National Instruments cFP-CB-1 contains a ring of links for use as a secure gadget and contains terminals with encoding so that access to the links is less demanding. When used with a thermocouple, it also has a thermistor for cold cross compensation. The device is general-purpose and designed to withstand hazardous voltage operation. The terminals are wired from 16 to 26 AWG copper wire (the only exception being when using sensing equipment) with a 6 mm insulation layer stripped off the end.

The compact FieldPoint thermocouple input module measures the temperature of the terminals on the cFP-CB-1 connector module. These modules use this estimate, called the cold junction temperature, to compensate for the thermoelectric voltage generated at these intersections. To achieve the most accurate cold junction compensation, scattering from nearby modules (or different heat sources) can make the terminals hot, resulting in thermocouple estimation errors – the device is equipped with 36 screw terminals. The heat Angle generated on the terminal can make the terminal of the unique channel have different temperatures. The actual thermal Angle depends on the connector blocks used and the subtle elements established by the user. To limit the heat Angle on the terminal, connect the thermocouple signal using cFP-CB-1. The cFP-CB-1 is outlined in a similar development to keep the terminals at similar temperatures. The recommended operating temperature range for NI devices is -40 to 70 °C and the storage temperature range is -55 to 85 °C.

The maximum current of the V and C terminals of cFP-CB-1 is 4 A, and the maximum current of the other terminals is 2 A.

Each compact FieldPoint I/O module requires a cFP-CB-1 integrated connector module. This model features tension discharge and coordination depressions for connecting cable ties, as well as easy terminal wiring with shadow coding with voltage correlation and normal correlation. It comes with a 37-pin I/O connector. The device weighs 7.1 ounces and has a maximum cable diameter of 8 millimeters.
