The VMIVME-M-485 module is designed as one of two units in the VMIC long Line Repeater Link subfamily. The VMIVME-M-485 unit is also designed to accommodate dual Eurocard form factor modules and is capable of supporting 16-bit and 24-bit addressing, as well as 8-bit and 16-bit data transmission.
It fully supports all seven available interrupt levels. A 5-foot-long cable was connected, and the propagation delay was about 400 nanoseconds. For longer cables connected, there is an additional 4 nanoseconds per foot.
The ambient temperature range of the device is between 0 and 55 degrees Celsius during operation, and between -20 and 85 degrees Celsius when the storage is interrupted.
