MTL7700 系列本质安全无源网络设备使用齐纳二极管，电阻器和熔丝安全地将多余的电能转移到接地，并防止设备在危险区域中发生火花或过热。
MTL7700 本质安全设备通过可拆卸接线端子提供快速，轻松的安装和维护，只需从模块侧面拔出接线端子即可断开回路。电线接入还呈斜角，有助于在有限空间的外壳内布线。
可 DIN 导轨安装的 MTL7700 本质安全设备可简单且牢固地夹紧到标准 T 型截面 DIN 导轨上，同时实现可靠的本质安全接地连接。

对于开关输入或 2 线发射器需要现场设备电源的应用， MTL7700 屏障系列提供总线供电设施。当与 MTL7798 电源馈线模块一起使用时，用户可为许多挡板提供完全保护的电子熔丝电源，无需额外布线。
所有 MTL7700 系列齐纳屏障均基于相同的简单原理。’通道包含两级经过脉冲测试的齐纳或正向连接二极管和一个“无误”端接电阻器。如果安全区域出现电气故障，二极管将限制可能到达危险区域的电压，电阻器将限制电流。熔断器可保护二极管，电压限制的两个阶段可确保在任一阶段出现故障时持续安全。不使用有源输出电流限制电路。所有型号均 ’’ IA ’ (所有区域) 和 ’’ IIC ’ (所有爆炸性环境除外) (MTL7707P+ 和 MTL7729P+ ，’ IA ’ ‘IIB’)。

MTL7756AC/RS

The MTL7700 Series intrinsically safe passive networking equipment uses Zener diodes, resistors, and fuses to safely divert excess electrical energy to ground and prevent equipment from sparking or overheating in hazardous areas.
The MTL7700 intrinsically safe device provides fast and easy installation and maintenance with detachable terminal blocks that disconnect the loop simply by pulling the terminal from the side of the module. The wire access is also angled to facilitate wiring within the enclosure in limited space.
The DIN rail mountable MTL7700 intrinsically safe device simply and firmly clamps onto a standard T-section DIN rail while enabling a reliable intrinsically safe ground connection.

For applications where switching inputs or 2-wire transmitters require field device power, the MTL7700 barrier series provides bus power facilities. When used with the MTL7798 power feeder module, users can provide a fully protected electronic fuse power supply for many baffles without additional wiring.
All MTL7700 series Zener barriers are based on the same simple principle. The channel consists of two pulse-tested Zener or forward-connected diodes and an “error-free” terminating resistor. If there is an electrical failure in the safe area, the diode will limit the voltage that may reach the dangerous area, and the resistor will limit the current. The fuse protects the diode, and the two stages of voltage limitation ensure continued safety in case of failure at either stage. No active output current limiting circuit is used. All models are “IA” (all zones) and “IIC” (except all explosive environments) (MTL7707P+ and MTL7729P+, “IA” IIB “).
