PXI-8423/2 RS-485 port
The National Instruments PXI-8423/2 (Part number: 777737-02) features a 64B FIFO, 460.8 (kb/s) transfer rate and optical isolation, and is an RS-485 interface for PXI.
It is an asynchronous interface for communicating with instruments via serial ports.
This model has plug-and-play compatibility with Microsoft 2000, NT, XP, Me, and 9x.
Therefore, it brings the advantage of automatic configuration for worry-free installation.
The device can be easily installed from the user’s current application (such as Visual Basic, Excel Visual, C++, etc.) as a standard serial port.
This model is available in 2-port and 4-port configurations. In the 2-port configuration DB-9, the male connector is combined with the standard pin arrangement of the RS232 and RS485 connectors.
The 4-port version of the NI PXI-8423 is equipped with a modular 10-bit telephone jack.
